We launched the Michael Schumacher Championship to offer ambitious amateur drivers and true racing fans a professional racing series that is accessible to everyone. Whether racing solo or as a team, our focus is on fairness, clear rules, and the true spirit of motorsports. These regulations form the foundation for a smooth 2026 season and ensure that all participants compete under equal conditions—transparently, with binding rules, and with a focus on exciting events and sporting competition.

Michael Schumacher's Championship: Solo and team regulations

The race series for everyone | 18 riders | Registration by form

1. overview

  • Michael Schumacher Championship 
  • A racing series for everyone! 
  • The starting grid is limited to 18 drivers. 
  • Pre-registration is only possible via the form. 
  • €60 per race 
  • Any driver who is at least 12 years old and at least 155 cm tall is eligible to participate.

2. equipment

Riders are required to wear a helmet and appropriate riding gear.

3. check-in

  • Check-in takes place up to 30 minutes before the race. 
  • Riders who arrive late may lose their starting position under certain circumstances. 
  • Any rider who is absent without a valid excuse will be barred from the event for the year.

4. briefing

  • Before the race begins, the race director of the MS Kart & Event Center will conduct a briefing.
  • Attendance at the briefing is mandatory for all drivers. 
  • If a driver does not attend the briefing, they will be disqualified from the respective race.

5. race management

  • The decisions of the race officials are final. 
  • Any protests regarding the conduct of other drivers must be reported to race control within 15 minutes of the incident. Race control will then decide on further action after consulting with the track marshals. 
  • In general, time penalties may be imposed until the end of the race, and disqualifications may also occur after the race. 
  • Any unsportsmanlike conduct by drivers on the track or in the pit lane may result in a time penalty or disqualification.

6. weight

  • The minimum weight is 85 kg.
  • Drivers are required to report to the race director for weighing after each race. Failure to do so will result in the driver’s disqualification. 
  • The karts can be weighted down by 20 kg. If the weight is insufficient, the driver must provide the additional weight themselves.

7. procedure

  • 10-minute qualifying
  • 20-minute race 
  • Kart change 
  • Top Qualifying (1 lap) 
  • 20-minute race

8. timekeeping

  • Lap times are measured electronically using transponders. 
  • If a measurement cannot be taken, there is no entitlement to compensation.

9. fairness and cart changes

  • Karts are assigned by the race director via a random draw. 
  • Changing karts during the event is only permitted in the event of a clear mechanical failure. This requires the approval of the assigned race director. 
  • If a kart deviates significantly from the standard specifications in advance, it will not be allowed to participate in the event.

10. scoring

Points awarded by the MS Kart and Event Center:

  • 1st place: 25 points
  • 2nd place: 22 points
  • 3rd place: 20 points 
  • 4th place: 18 points | 5th place: 16 points
  • 6th place: 14 points | 7th place: 12 points
  • 8th place: 10 points | 9th place: 8 points
  • 10th place: 6 points | 11th place: 4 points
  • 12th place: 2 points | 13th place and below: no points

11th strike list

  • There are 22 races held each year, 16 of which count toward the standings. 
  • If a driver participates in more than 16 races, the worst results are discarded.

12. prices

After each race, there is an awards ceremony for the top three drivers. At the end of the year, the top five drivers are honored. 1st place: 5 free races in the 2027 series 2nd place: 4 free races 3rd place: 3 free races 4th place: 2 free races 5th place: 1 free race

13. other

We reserve the right to cancel the races if there are insufficient participants. At the end of the event, the top three drivers will be honored. The general terms and conditions / track rules of the MS Kart & Event Center apply. Under no circumstances can the organizer be held liable for any kart breakdowns or for any other reason. Technical defects and breakdowns do not entitle drivers to any concessions from the organizer or race officials. The organizer may cancel the race due to insufficient participation or for other reasons, in which case entry fees will be refunded in full. By entering, each driver accepts the regulations without exception. Subject to change. All information is provided without guarantee.

The indoor karting track offers year-round driving fun, no matter the weather. The track is challenging and suitable for both beginners and experienced drivers. Consistent conditions ensure fair races.
